About the Author
Ray Sinnott's varied career, mainly in design and development, began with several major companies including Dupont and John Brown. The main areas covered within these appointments were: Gas Production and Distribution, Nuclear Energy, Elastomers and Textile fibres.

After his career in industry he joined the Chemical Engineering Department, University of Wales Swansea in 1970, specialising in teaching process and plant design, and other engineering practice subjects.

The first edition of Chemical Engineering Design (Coulson and Richardson’s Vol 6) was published in 1983. Subsequent editions have been published at approximately 5 year intervals.

Ray Sinnott retired from full time teaching in 1995 but has maintained close contact with the engineering profession.

Great Catalog for options are available

I found this book be an excellent summary of equipment capacities. There a several tables showing ranges of equipment based on a particular process variable and pro/con tables to aid in your selection. What is in short supply are anything but basic design equations for equipment. This is also true for an old favorite of mine: "Handbook of Separation Techniques for Chemical Engineers" by Philip A. Schweitzer. This textbook is less current, may be more useful for basic design, though more narrow.

My suggestion is to have Schweitzer and Sinnott's book in the design section of your professional library. Be careful with this book because it is paperback.

This book is an excellent book for a Chemical Engineer final year student or Chemical/Process Engineer professional. It outlines the whole spectrum for Process Engineer design, from management skills for a project, preferrable site location, actual design of Process equipment/vessels, etc. This book is definately an execellent buy for a Chemical/Process Engineer.

A valuable resource for the geocacher.

As an experienced puzzle cacher (1100+ puzzle finds and counting), I recommend this book highly. I am often asked how to solve puzzle caches and every bit of the advice that I have given (and more) is in this book.

It's aimed primarily at those who want to learn how to solve the puzzles used in geocaches. I think it succeeds very well in this regard. There is a tremendous amount of good advice on how to solve puzzles. The walk-throughs, in particular, are good at showing how to approach a new and apparently impenetrable puzzle.

Experienced puzzlers won't need the advice part as much, but there is still plenty of useful information here that will help solving puzzles. And it can also be useful for inspiring ideas for creating your own puzzles.

It's both a good book on puzzle-caching, AND a well written cross-section of an astonishing number of topics.

I bought a copy of this book at Geo-Woodstock this year, met the author, and there expressed my most-sincere praise for this book, which I had never seen before.

You see, there are really TWO ways to look at this book. One way is to use it exactly as the author intended: to understand puzzle caches, to get ideas of how to solve the one that's presently vexing you, and to maybe come up with a new puzzle of your own. (Yeah, you always knew that puzzlers were diabolical ... you just didn't realize HOW diabolical!)

But there's also another way to regard this, and it's really a testament to Cully's skill (and perseverance!) as a writer. In the 17 chapters and 9 appendices of this book, you'll find an astonishing cross-section of topics being discussed. Cryptologic history; steganography; music theory; electronic resistors; multi-segment displays; higher math; digital photography; the list just keeps going. Despite the astonishing number of topics covered, Cully covers each one very well. You can just sit back and learn A LOT of things that you never knew, by reading it from one cover to the other ... as, in fact, I did. He stays "on point" to the purpose and theme of the book, generally covering neither too-little nor too-much. And you say: "Gee, how interesting. I didn't know that ..."

In other words: this is the hard-work of a genuinely gifted technical writer, and no doubt, a technical editor. Several years of earnest work went into this volume, and it shows. (At Woodstock, every copy he brought sold-out within hours, as I knew it would.)

I normally hate puzzle cache, you know the ones. They start out with some weird symbols or really don't give you much of an idea on how to even start solving it. I usually just resign myself to have that pesky Question Mark icon forever on my geocaching map. Now, with this book I at least have a fighting chance. The book explains several different types of puzzles and the best approach to solving them. Not only does it give you great advice on how to solve these, it the author walks you through an example and leads to the solution, but that's not all, after the walk through puzzle he gives you one to work out on your own. If you have trouble solving puzzle caches, this book is for you.

About the Author
Dr. Ed Dufresne (1941–2013) was a bold, compassionate minister of the gospel. After a dramatic conversion, Dufresne immediately began serving in the ministry of helps. He later pastored for nearly fifteen years, traveled full–time for over twenty years, and founded Ed Dufresne Ministries (now Dufresne Ministries) and the World Harvest Bible Training Center, a school for the training of believers in operations of the Holy Spirit and in living a victorious life through the power of God's Word. Other outreaches of Ed Dufresne Ministries included evangelistic tent crusades that reach out to the poor and needy through distributing food, clothing, and toys. In 2013, Ed Dufresne died tragically in a plane crash at age 72. Ed Dufresne's wife, Nancy, now carries on the ministry.

A great book of prayers, taken from the Word!!!

Every time I visit Dr. & Pastor Dufresne's Church out in Murrietta I get blessed. Dr. Ed Dufresne has a God given gift of healing, and this book has verses that you can pray and speak, and as Mark 11 says it will come to pass, when you pray, believe and speak it out. This book will bless your life. I read it daily, along with my Bible.

Ed Dudresne is a Prophet of God and knows his authority in Jesus name.
He and his beauty queen wife have a church in Riverside and he came to the church that I was attending back in the late 80's they have a tremendous ministry out there. She has the glory of the Lord on her so strong that women who wanted to talk to her fell down when she walked past them,
They are an anointed couple in the Lord and have helped to set free many who were under demonic attack.
You will not be disappointed in this book it is everything their ministry is anointed.
seller sent the book right out in good condition and I recommend them and the book to those who are spirit filed and want to be encouraged by Ed Dudresene's ministry.

This was an Eye-opener for me. SK many preachers preacher and don't teach what the Bible says and what it really means to be a believer and how GOD's grace is already made available to us.
