Commanding new voice from South Africa

As with any collection there were some that I liked more than others

An impressive collection of short stories from Makhosazana Xaba. I first encountered Xaba as a poet, and that control of language comes through in these stories.
As with any collection there were some that I liked more than others, but the best were beautiful, lingering in my mind long after I finished reading.
